Thanks for the insight and to answer your question, yes I did design the header. I wanted something to showcase the dust bunnies (ie, the focus of the site) as well as incorporate it to look as if it's a press conference per se from their perspective. I've seen too many themes that have way too much going on which is why I chose the white-space look. Thanks for the newsletter suggestion, with Wordpress, that's an easy fix!
